LEVEL CROSSING SWITCH ON/SWITCH OFF SYSTEM type UZI1 (single track)

• Level crossing switch on / switch off system is a complete solution for switching on /
switching off of any level crossing
• It consists of a panel set type UZI231 (for single track level crossing) located in level
crossing cabinet and three railwheel sensors type ZK24 mounted on the rail on switch on /
switch off point
• The UZI231 panel set consists of two switch on interface evaluation modules UTR245 and
one switch off module ITR245 along with three ZUT lightning protection modules
• Replacement for old mechanical or magnetic switch-on/switch off points and track circuits;
one sensor ZK24 replaces two single devices on one switch on/switch off point
• Safety relay contact outputs provide connection to older level crossing systems
• Safety relays in interface module UTR245 / ITR245 are time-delayed 5 seconds after passage
of each axle (any other time parameter on demand)
• UTR / ITR has also output for single pulse of each axle for both channels of ZK24 railwheel
sensor; this provides connection to newer level crossing systems that require axle counting,
detecting the train direction, speed, etc.
• Detection of all railwheel types according to UIC 510-2
• Train speed up to 350 km/h
• Detection of drop-away from the rail
• Sensor ZK24 operating temperature range -40..+80°C, humidity up to 100%
• UTR245 / ITR245 operating temperature range -30..+70°C
• Sensor ZK24 has IP68 protection against water and dust
• The ZK24 sensor is mounted on the inner side of the rail
• Universal rail mounting clamp for rail types S45..UIC60 (other profiles on demand), no need
for rail drilling
• Sensor mounting bracket also for drilled rail available
• Traction current immunity, lightning overvoltage protection.
• On customer demand, dual track system (type UZI2) or multi track system can be delivered
